Background to World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms,  Kenya [WWOOF, Kenya]

World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farming, Kenya (WWOOF, Kenya)  is part of a world wide effort to link volunteers to sustainable farms of choice within the Republic of Kenya and environs.

The organisation's approach is to support individuals to live, learn and share their skills on organic growing and also to promote low impact life styles in an environmentally friendly living.

WWOOF, Kenya is a registered national organisation. WWOOF Kenya aims to connect volunteers and hosts (WWOOFers) and to provide possible support to WWOOFers to enable achievement of quality WWOOFing experience including facilitating access to organisations whose activities have a bearing  in organic farming.

WWOOF Kenya also aims to support WWOOFing activities through encouraing a culture of unity through raising awareness of WWOOF guidelines, policy issues and other relevant matters where individuals will realise opportunity, access information, be treated fairly with dignity and respect.

WWOOFing in Kenya provides a wonderful opportunity to visit with Kenyan people, learn about their culture and traditions, enjoy the sunshine and discover about Kenya’s unique wildlife in its natural habitat.

“WWOOFing advocates for the wise use of the earth and its resources for the lasting good of men Late Rev Samuel Anunda once quote Gifford Pinchot
